What’s New?

March is a happening month in the Bay Area. Spring officially arrives on March 21, but remember to spring our clocks forward on March 8 to enjoy longer daylight hours. Don’t forget to cast your gaze at the night sky on March 3. The sky is putting up a show of its own: A new blood moon and a total lunar eclipse.

In Cupertino, the community kicks off the month of March with the Big Bunny 5K and Kids Fun Run on March 7 at the Civic Center, followed by the Cupertino Holi celebrations on March 28 at Memorial Park featuring color tosses and dancing to celebrate spring. A lunar festival of colors, Holi, is being celebrated on March 5th this year.

Meanwhile, San Francisco comes alive with a vibrant mix of cultural and community events this month, highlighted by the return of spring festivities. Key highlights include the colorful San Francisco Year of the Fire Horse Parade on March 7th and the 175th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Enjoy art? The 42nd annual Bouquets to Art exhibition returns to San Francisco from March 3–8, 2026. This popular weeklong event features approximately 100 floral designers who create botanical interpretations of artworks from the permanent collections at both the de Young and the Legion of Honor museums. And on the official day of the spring, the city will host the Free Tulip Day at the Union Square.

March is a happening month at Cupertino TV Productions as well. Remember, we had filmed a show on California native plants on location on 1/24. The show is now being reviewed and will premiere shortly in next month’s cablecast schedule. Also, recall that we had visited the Moffett Museum on January 27 to scout angles for our long and short programs. We went back to the museum to learn more about the museum and its exciting exhibits last month. We are actively planning short promotional films on the museum. We’ve uploaded photographs from our numerous trips to our ‘On Location’ photo gallery. Do take a look!

Curious about us? Check out our shows playing this month on Cablecast TV in approximately 13 communities across six TV stations from Menlo Park to Monterey County on our Shows page. Visit our YouTube channel and Facebook pages to give us your feedback.

And we have several shows in the pipeline, including ones on mass transit in the Bay Area, the Humanoid Summit, a whimsical orchestra group, and a new one. We will learn more about these shows in our production planning meetings on March 2 and March 16.

If you have an idea of your own or want to learn more about us, you are welcome to join us at the CSC at 10 AM.

Hope to see you there!

Heads up!

CTVP Life in Pictures

Our lives as producers revolve around the studio, meetings, and on location filming. With cameras that ride inside phones in our pockets and purses, photos of our lives abound. Check them out in this section. There are pictures from KMVT15’s field equipment class for Cupertino TV Productions, new members’ training on studio equipment, Volunteer Appreciation Lunch day at CSC, CSC’s Open house, post-production crew shoots and myriad others just because we came together to create something. Mostly because we are feeling good about ourselves or for members and partners who are volunteering — creating, crewing, and giving us a reason to celebrate creativity :)
