What’s New?

May is truly a magnificent month to experience Cupertino and the greater SF Bay Area. The season is bursting with vibrant energy and an exciting lineup of events, including the Health Expo at Cupertino Senior Center, the puppy jump at Blackberry Farm, SF's legendary Bay to Breakers, Carnaval, and BottleRock Napa. To make it even more magical, our recent April rains have gifted us with breathtaking superblooms stretching across the region giving credence to the old saying “April showers bring May flowers.”

We are excited about this month and the days after. We are participating in the Health Expo at the CSC on May 8. Come see us there. Because engaging in visual storytelling is deeply connected to good physical and mental health, fueling our creativity and overall happiness. Ultimately, sharing these films becomes a beautiful tool for community building and fostering genuine camaraderie.

We are also planning our Encore festival on June 9th at 11:30 AM. Following last year's tradition, this year too we will celebrate short films produced by our new and veteran members. We would love for you to join us in this celebration.

Now, a quick glance at the month that went by.

April was packed with festivals and events as well. We celebrated Cupertino’s Earth and Arbor Day Festival, Cherry Blossom Festival and CNPS’ Growing Native Garden Tour.

But our excitement doesn't stop with local events. Artemis II’s return last month after its successful moon mission did not disappoint. It was great to see its spectacular splashdown off the coast of San Diego, with the three parachutes perfectly reducing the capsule's speed to safe levels.

April was a busy month at Cupertino TV Productions as well. Part II of the native plants show was filmed last month at West Valley College as were interviews that are part of the show on Terrible Adult Chamber Orchestra. ‘Getting to the World Cup in Silicon Valley (Journey to Levi's Stadium at Santa Clara)’ show, filmed on location, premieres this month on Cablecast Television. Last month, we invited CSC members to join this show’s big-screen review. It was a new experience for us, our hope is to make it routine. Check out the newly-minted show below, on our Shows page, and our YouTube channel.

We also had our two production planning and administrative meetings on first and third Tuesday of April.

These days, many of us go for lunch dates at area restaurants after our Tuesday meetings. These are great opportunities to discuss shows, catch up on news and have a fun time. Join us some Tuesday!

Want to know more about us? Check out four shows playing this month on Cablecast TV in approximately 13 communities across six TV stations from Menlo Park to Monterey County on our Shows page. Visit our YouTube channel and Facebook pages to give us your feedback.

And as always, join us at the CSC at 10 AM on the first and third Tuesday every month if you want to be a part of Cupertino TV Productions.

Hope to see you there!

Heads up!
  • CTVP meets every first and third Tuesday of a month at CSC at 10 AM

CTVP Life in Pictures

Our lives as producers revolve around the studio, meetings, and on location filming. With cameras that ride inside phones in our pockets and purses, photos of our lives abound. Check them out in this section. There are pictures from KMVT15’s field equipment class for Cupertino TV Productions, new members’ training on studio equipment, Volunteer Appreciation Lunch day at CSC, CSC’s Open house, post-production crew shoots and myriad others just because we came together to create something. Mostly because we are feeling good about ourselves or for members and partners who are volunteering — creating, crewing, and giving us a reason to celebrate creativity :)
