Ranjana Mehra

Ranjana was in search of a community of video producers who could help revive her production and editing skills when she found Cupertino TV Productions in early 2020. A bit of creative risk-taking then enabled the production of her debut show in CTVP as the year unfolded. Coronavirus Diaries was born as a reflection on the unique circumstances CTVP members found themselves in amidst the pandemic. After the KMVT15 studio got back in operation, Ranjana produced two more shows in 2022: Cleaning Up The Guadalupe Watershed which was a first place winner at ACM’s Hometown as well as ACM West’s WAVE, 2023 Awards and ‘Community Comes Together For A Park Project’, a finalist at ACM West’s WAVE, 2023. Dance: The Love Language of a Community’ premiered in September, 2023. It follows a community of gym-goers who found health and happiness through a shared love for Indian dance music. Bloom Where You Are Planted : Master Gardeners’ Chronicle debuted in June 2024.

Since they inform as they entertain, Ranjana believes, documentaries provide a perfect medium to surface important issues. Going forward, Ranjana aims to keep producing shows that align with current circumstances and resonate with a diverse audience. She hopes her rich Indian palette mixed with an ancient world of stories and an incessant quest for knowledge will inform her future work.
