Blaine Halley

Blaine was a Catholic missionary brother in Maryland and on the East Coast for five years. He then spent two years assigned to a church in the San Jose Diocese and subsequently retired.

Prior to his time in the church, he worked for five years at publications in Silicon Valley.  His background includes work in college journalism and roles at newspapers in Southern California and Kansas for 10 years. Additionally, he helped raise funds and co-wrote grants for non-profit charities.

In 2020 he enrolled in a CTVP studio and video editing class at KMVT15 Silicon Valley with a group of seniors.   At the time he was learning how to edit films with a tutor at the Sunnyvale Senior center using iMovie.  Using his new skill, he later co-produced two infomercials for local businesses.  He is passionate about restoring and converting old family archival films, helping a friend finish a documentary, and guiding others as they learn professional film and editing skills.
